Summer
Now that summer is here why not try a few Paddington ideas on your own, with a friend or in a group or your class?
Treasure Trails
With a group of friends write down a list of items you think you should be able to find in a local park or recreational area. (You can use the Paddington Treasure Trail paper available to download here to write your lists on.) Once your list is compiled visit the local area and see who can find everything on your list the quickest.
Hat making
We all know that Paddington keeps marmalade sandwiches under his hat. On a day when you don't want to go outside why don't you invite a friend round to design each other a new hat to wear. You can then wear your hats whilst having an indoor marmalade sandwich picnic!
Cloud watching
On a sunny day with quite a few clouds in the sky, find a nice grassy patch and lie on your back. (You might find sunglasses make this more enjoyable.) Look up at the sky and using your imagination see what images you can make out of the clouds - can you see Paddington's Wellington boots? Or Mrs Bird's rolling pin? But remember, never look directly at the sun as this is very bad for your eyes.
