| So that you can be reminded of your favourite bear whenever you use your computer, we have created some special icons for you to use on your desktop.
There are instructions for MAC and PC users.
Paddington says that it's not as complicated as it sounds but he suggests that you might find it helpful to print out these instructions before you start.
PC users Please click here to download the compressed file to your desktop.
Once you have downloaded the file you will need to do the following:
Step One: Double click the file on your desktop to make it expand automatically. Step Two: Double click on the icon 'My Computer' and open up the 'Control Panel'. Step Three: Double click on the icon called 'Display Properties'. A box will appear with a number of tabs to click through at the top. Click on the one titled 'Effects'. Here you will see a complete list of all the current icons used on your computer. Step Four: Highlight one of the icons by clicking on it, then click the button to 'Change icon'. Step Five: You will need to 'browse' your computer to find the desktop and the 'Paddington Icons' folder. Step Six: Within this folder you can choose which icon you want to replace the current highlighted icon with. Having chosen the icon, click "open" and then "ok". Step Seven: Once you have changed all the icons you wish to, click on "apply" and then close the display and control panel windows.
MAC users Please click here to download the compressed file to your desktop
Once you have downloaded the file you will need to do the following:
Step One: Double click on the file to make it expand automatically. Step Two: Once you've opened the uncompressed folder choose which icon you want to use. Press 'Apple (Command) I' to bring up the General Info on that folder. Step Three: Choose which folder you want the new icon to be visible on. Press 'Apple (Command) I' to bring up the General Info on that folder. Step Four: Go back to the uncompressed folder and click on the new icon in the General Info panel. Copy this icon, Apple (Command) C. Go to the General Info tab belonging to the folder where you want the new icon to appear. Highlight the current icon and press Apple (Comman) V to paste the new icon in.
